Ayame Jounouchi is a classmate of Kyoya and Tamaki and is Class Vice-chairman of 2-A. She becomes Haruhi's tutor when Haruhi fails to be top of her class. Despite disliking Tamaki for his eccentricities and the fact that he ranks ahead of her as second in class (Ayame is consistently third after Tamaki came to Ouran), she has a crush on the Host Club President. Initially, she perms her hair straight, but after Tamaki's advice, she reverts to her natural, curly hairstyle and becomes a regular at the Host Club. In the anime, her appearance is limited to a cameo in And so Kyoya Met Him!, when Tamaki introduces himself to Kyoya and her, as the class reps.
