Psionicists are beings with psionic abiltities who use their powers to a particular end. It is the catch-all PC phrase for a wide range of psionic applications, including humble Timonae fortunetellers as well as the enigmatic Mystic seers, Centauran psychologists and Vollistan interrogators; often, psionicists will perform in more than one function. The exact origin of the term is unknown, but the first use in an offical document is in the minutes of a Stellar Consortium sub-comitee meeting on the codification and recognisation of psionics-based occupations throughout Consortium territory.
