The Vietnamese Enterprise was the massive influx of Vietnamese into South America, namely the Amazon areas, many died during this period. This action was due to a huge population boom in South East Asia in 1798 which resulted in overcrowded cities and the loss of jobs. So many people built boats to sail across the ocean to a new haven, with plenty of space. A massive fleet of ships set off for the Americas on the 25th of March 1798, and arrived on the 1st of January, 1799. Many detours were taken and many storms were encountered, but the ships finally reached the South American coast, with one quarter of the initial number of passengers.
