The ground underneath the log crusher is cracked, indicating the position the log crusher will descend itself. When Crash comes across one of these obstacles, he should wait until the log crusher is ascending back to the ceiling, then run underneath them before they pound themselves again. This task can be tricky when numerous log crushers or enemies are around. If Crash is crushed by a log crusher, he will lose a life and be transported to the last checkpoint. An obstacle similar to the log crusher is the rock crusher.
