Thonolan is the youngest son of Marthona, with her third mate Willamar, and the brother of Joharran, Jondalar and Folara. He is a member of the Ninth Cave of the Zelandonii, like the rest of his family, and later joins the Sharamudoi. He travels with Jondalar on his Journey in The Valley of Horses.
