The Golden Carving is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It is used as a key to enter the boss room of the Skyview Temple, in which Ghirahim is found. In order to open the door leading to the dungeon's boss, Link must correctly maneuver the carving so that it fits into the lock. Later when Link returns to Skyview Temple to retrieve the Sacred Water for Faron from Skyview Spring, he will encounter Kortz who is searching for the Golden Carving after hearing about it from Gorko. However, Kortz is unaware that Link already obtained it and leaves the temple, disappointed.
