The show bombed in Japan and was cancelled after 12 episodes. In 1982, the series was dubbed and aired in the United Kingdom under the title Star Fleet, where the entire music and sound effect track was redubbed and edited with music by Moody Blues keyboardist Paul Bliss. The English dub aired from October 23, 1982 to April 16, 1983, and was much more popular in the UK than its native Japan. The show gained much more prominence when Queen guitarist Brian May released a cover of Bliss' theme in 1983 on his solo album Star Fleet Project.
