Garbage Guys was a Grantville garbage company owned by Gary Haggerty. Duck and Big Dog Carpenter were its employees. After the Ring of Fire, a fair number of people still disposed of things for which other people might have had some conceivable use. The Garbage Guys separated the trash themselves in order to find as many items as possible that they could resell for a profit. Very little of Grantville's garbage was sent to the incinerator. French Huguenot Jacques-Pierre Dumais worked for Garbage Guys as a means of accessing knowledge of the future.
