The KSP was founded as the Democratic Socialist Party but changed to the Kafuri Socialist Party in the late 2300s or early 2400s. The Democratic Socialist Party was founded by a group of former military officers in the year 2135. The Kafuri Socialist Party (KSP)first contested an election in 2136 and succeeded in taking 12% of the seats. The KSP was the founder of the Kafuri Left Coalition.
