On October 15, 2628, the Executive Committee of the Baltusian Democratic Party selected Chase Kaj Moreno as the party leader. He had previously served as Deputy Leader under Theodora Elrod. He seleced Cyril Gist as his Deputy Leader. He was the first man to lead the party in 46 years, since June 12, 2582, the day Richard Aylesworth resigned.
