The Shrine of Agasha Kasuga was located on the first floor of the Dawn Tower was the largest of those devoted to the Tortoise Clan founder. The shrine was tended by a single shugenja who inherited his position from his father, as it had been handed down since the death of Agasha Kasuga. The line of caretakers went back to Kasuga's own second child, who began the shrine in his father's honor. Depictions of Kasuga's life that focused on his time as a negotiator and daimyo decorated the shrine.
