The 1st Assault Battalion of the People's Armed Forces of the Republic of Jerna is the President's personal military unit, consisting of the finest 1,000 soldiers in the Republic. It is commanded by President Arrnea himself, who leads the unit in battle from his personal command vehicle, the Avalon. Also present in the 1st Assault Battalion are Siegfried Schwarzwind in his M2 Battle Suit, nicknamed the 'Chaos Edge', and his squad of 15 M1 Battle Suits, piloted by the remaining 15 members of the Presidential Guard that are not crewing the Avalon.
