Born to a middle-class family on Eriadu, Yarin was taken from his family at the age of three by the Jedi. He grew up on Coruscant, learning the ways of the Jedi under Master Gnost-Dural, the Jedi historian. Yaris excelled at lightsaber combat but struggled to master his anger. Eventually, the battle ended in a draw and Yarin was given his next mission by Baras. He was to lead the Sith forces during the Sacking of Coruscant. Yarin commanded the Sith fleet during the battle and laid waste to Coruscant's surface. He himself piloted a fighter craft and engaged in a dogfight above the surface.
