"ICWGP" is the acronym of NJCW's governing body, the International Caw Wrestling Grand Prix. The title was introduced on November 22, 2009 at NJCW's CPV Sounansha. The ICWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship is not the only tag team title contested for in NJCW; the ICWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship is also sanctioned by NJCW.
