The Gaylaxian Science Fiction Society is a New England centric literary society for LGBT fans and artisans of speculative fiction. It was established in 1986 in Boston, and would later (in September) meet with associates at Worldcon 1986 to conceive the Gaylactic Network as a national federation of local and regional LGBT-oriented speculative fiction fans and artisans. The GSFS would co-host the initial Provincetown, Massachusetts Gaylaxicon in 1988.
