The Chum Bucket is a fast food restaurant located in Bikini Bottom. Owned and operated by Sheldon J. Plankton, it is located just across the street from the wildly popular Krusty Krab, owned by Plankton's nemesis Eugene H. Krabs; throughout its history, the Chum Bucket has enjoyed significantly less popularity than the Krusty Krab. Plankton devotes much of his time and energy to devising plans and attempting to steal the secret formula for the Krusty Krab's signature dish, the Krabby Patty, in the hope that doing this will result in profitability for the Chum Bucket and Plankton himself, and put Krabs out of business.
