Ritual Spells' were much more complicated and/or powerful than normal spells, requiring the resources of more than one shugenja in order to succeed. The shugenja that possessed the spell scroll was the caster and the primary shugenja. Any other shugenja that participated in the ritual were called secondary shugenja.
