Charlie said that Cal was an old friend of his. Charlie and Cal were in the O.S.S. together. By 1980, Jeffers was the sheriff in his home county in the Tennessee mountains. When Cal's son, Seth, went missing in L.A. he called Charlie and hired the Angels to find out what had happened.
