This was the final event of the 2013 season, moved back to the end of the season, after the Rally RACC Catalunya took its spot as the season finale of 2012. Newly crowned champion Sébastien Ogier won the event in his Volkswagen Polo R ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala and Thierry Neuville. Support class wins went to Elfyn Evans (WRC-2) and Jukka Korhonen (WRC-3) respectively. This was ex-F1 driver and WRC-2 champion Robert Kubica's first rally in the top class and he got a new co-driver in that of Michele Ferrari but he crashed out.
