Marzaq was a prominent general of the Brotherhood of Nod and one of the most powerful members of Kane's Inner Circle. He was an excellent tactician and a very pragmatic man, and after Kane's second demise in the Second Tiberium War was in conflict with general Anton Slavik over the issue of leadership and further Nod plans. He opposed the reactivation of CABAL and had a negative opinion about general Slavik, whom he opposed almost always. He was killed when CABAL decided that he will not be deactivated neither by GDI nor Nod.
