Clay Balls or Clay, are dropped when a block of Clay is mined. They are small, almost round items that have the same gray texture as Clay. They can be crafted back into Clay, but their main use is in smelting bricks. Unlike ore blocks, placing a clay block in a Crafting Table does not yield clay.
