Grey Lightning was a neutral Force power developed by Cyril Ahlen Khan and Deven Jarmain. The lightning was found to be only accessible when the user chose neutrality of the Force, making it extremely difficult to use. The discharge of energy did not occur through an inner release of energy, but instead the lightning was created by a sophisticated directing of surrounding energies. The power was first discovered during a telekinetic training process in which Deven was teaching Cyril to direct the Force energy around him. The sudden burst of energy was unintentional, and the unexpected discharge severely injured the unprepared student. After the incident, the power was determined to have been caused by a separation of the two dominant Force energies: the light side and the dark side.
