Isawa Kano was a Phoenix advisor to one general who, in 815, attempted to confront a force of Tainted barbarians invading from the Shadowlands. The gaijin avoided villages, refusing combat where possible and Kano began to suspect they were the lost Ki-Rin Clan returned to Rokugan. The Elemental Masters sent an ambassador to them, confirming the Return of the Ki-Rin.
