Taisty would enlist as a Kul Tiran marine, serving as his ship's cook, before joining in a mutiny of disgruntled sailors. The mutineers would then become pirates, raiding ships around the South Seas. In a failed raid on a Sparkcog cargo boat, where the mutineers' ship was destroyed by the junkers protecting the cargo ship. Many of the mutineers died, although Taisty was washed up onto the shores of Sparkcog Isle.
