The BC-303, also known as the Prometheus-class, is a class of battlecruiser originally designed by Samantha Carter and now built by the Tau'ri and used extensively in their fleet as a corvette and support vessel for the larger ships. Although the BC-303 lacks the raw firepower or defensive capabilities of its successor, the DSC-304, its low cost and versatility made it a logical choice for continued use, and with the modern refits of Asgard weaponry, engines and shields they have become formidable craft all of their own.
