The Siege of High House of Light was performed by the yobanjin Army of Fire in the opening phase of the War of Dark Fire. Eight hundred defenders were nearly slaughtered and only a handful number of survivors were rescued by the arrival of reinforcements led by the Dragon Clan Champion Mirumoto Kei. The castle was so damaged that it was put to the torch to deny it as shelter of the invaders.
