Growlf is one of the Guard Dogs of the Castle of the Crown. He was often guarding the halls near the barracks. He was one of the guard dogs having the discussion with Saladin and Howel inside the barracks, about the treasury room. He overheard Abdul Alhazred say the password to the room when Bay came up and started yapping at him. The only word he heard before he was interrupted was "ali". Growlf and Howel where the guard dogs that dragged Lord Abdul Alhazred way to the castle dungeons.
