Jonkle was created in late 2008 by an anonymous memer. Not much is known about it, just that it very rapidly rose to be uncommonly popular. It is seemingly very generic, yet it is completely unrelated to most other memes. This puzzle is still on the mind of meme-ologists around the globe today.
