When the bridge was initially opened, 9,500 vehicles travelled across it every day. This number had increased to 35,000 by 2502. As this increase in traffic had created a major bottleneck in the Pan-Seran Highway, a contract for a replacement bridge was awarded in Storm, 2502. The new bridge, named the Centennial Bridge, was finished in 2504 and opened to traffic in Harvest the next year.
