Masfarik was a continent on the planet Romulus. It was known as a barren and rocky region on the Romulan home world with a few exceptions such as a number of oasises where cities and towns struggled for survival. The populations of the planet were jammed into these cities which tended to grow upward instead of outward leading to population density reaching intolerable levels. This made it differ to the unstable and volatile Dektenb continent. (TNG novel: Unification)
