The missile system RSC / D of the company Oerlikon Contraves was built in 1958 and tested in Italy. The RSD 58 is an early production surface-to-air missile system developed by Rheinmetall Air Defence in Switzerland from 1947. Test firings were first made in 1950 with production starting in 1952 for the armed forces of Japan, testshots are made in Switzerland and Italy. On the basis of the RSA Missile, the beacon controlled missile system RSC / D was developed. There was no significant order, except for the delivery of a training battery to Japan and thus no larger order.
