The Storm Insurgency was a protracted campaign, fought between the Storm Covenant, and the alliance of the Sangheili Republic and the UNSC. A long and brutal campaign, it came to an end with the Scattering, when the Storm's remaining forces were scattered, most reduced to mercenaries or brigands. The Storm Covenant's insurgency saw numerous acts of barbarism, such as the Storm's use of biological weapons, and terror attacks on civilian populaces.
