Goldenrod College is an institution of higher education. It focuses on the liberal arts, although it has a notable advanced mechanics program. Professors and grad-students often visit Uurwerk for study or hands on research. Goldenrod College has an ongoing rivalry with Tortuga University (Go Fighting Sailfish!) The school mascot is the Sailfish. In 127 AU the school renamed the mascot from The Fighting Sailfish to its present form. Ongoing conflict in the Principality Wars led to a popular peace movement during this time. The mascot was renamed due to pressure from student groups and alumni.
