EMT Aladin (German: Abbildende Luftgestützte Aufklärungsdrohne im Nächstbereich, airborne reconnaissance drone for close area imaging) is a small, man-portable light reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle employed by the Bundeswehr (German Army). The aircraft can be launched by hand or with a bungee catapult. This UAV is used by the German Army in the northern part of Afghanistan. In May 2006, The Netherlands bought 10 Aladins for use in southern Afghanistan (Uruzgan), though in 2008 the ultimate Dutch program buy for 24 systems went to the AeroVironment Raven B.
