Before the war, all greater landmasses that exist in the present were part of this continent; it had a size comparable to that of the real-world Pangaea. During the conflict, however, the final clash of Ruby Eye Shabranigdu and Flare Dragon Ceifeed at the very center of the Sleeping Dragon produced an explosion so powerful that it annihilated more than half of it, creating what is currently known as the Demon Sea. Only the areas originally close to the coast survived; these remaining lands became the continents of the world during the time the Slayers stories take place.
