Mega-volcanoes were larger and more destructive versions of regular volcanoes. During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems triggered the planet Mirak Major's mega-volcanoes; however, General Gentis, hero of the Clone Wars, was able to safely evacuate six billion people from the surface.
