The Jawenko lava beast was a creature native to Mustafar. It naturally produced Nkllonian lava extract from liquid xonolite. One such creature stranded on Tatooine gave basis to a Jawa and Sand People deity named "Great Jawenko." After a massacre against the Rrhr hunting band of Tusken Raiders by the Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker in retribution of the death of his mother, Shmi Skywalker Lars, in 22 BBY, the Tuskens proceeded to believe that Shmi may have in fact been a witch that was the mate of the Great Jawenko.
