A Tyranid Hive Fleet is a massive swarm of kilometers-long spacefaring creatures resembling nothing so much as giant squids. The Hive Fleet is controlled by a collective consciousness known as the Hive Mind; as the fleet has no flagship and fights as a single organism they can be nearly impossible to defeat by conventional means.
