An unnamed Police Officer arrested Robert Sugden for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in The Woolpack in May 2016, after Olivia Flaherty paid Ryan to tell the police about Robert paying him to make false allegations against Liv's father, Gordon Livesy. The police officer took Dan Spencer's statement after Eric Pollard was attacked whilst covering in the shop. As he was talking to Dan, Jacob Gallagher rushed into the shop and identified Josh Crowther and Jamie Halstead as the culprits.
