Kaellin III was a backwater planet in the Malenstorr system in the Mid Rim's Corbett sector, inhabited by primitive Human hunters. The Alliance to Restore the Republic attacked an Imperial supply convoy near Kaellin III. An Imperial Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transport crashed near a local village. The surviving stormtroopers were offered peace by the village elder, but mistook his offer for an attack, and slaughtered the villagers.
