The Małokrąż nuclear disaster (Valrizen: Nuklearna katastrofa Małokrążowa) was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 June 3394 at the Białoczarny Nuclear Power Plant near Małokrąż, Małowalruzja. An explosion and fire, caused by the shattering of the radiation filters from reactors 2, 3, and 4, released large quantities of radioactive contamination into the atmosphere, which has spread over much of Southwestern Valruzia, Eastern Baltusia and Northern Tukarali. The initial explosion has killed an estimated 183 people, with many more casualties expected due to the rising levels of radiation in the area. All 1,362,400 residents of Małokrąż have been evacuated within 48 hours of the disaster.
