The First Battle of Nyriaan was a battle that was fought on the planet Nyriaan by the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems in 21 BBY, as part of the Clone Wars. With the help of the Corporate Sector Authority, the Confederacy was able to emerge as the victor, and it gained control of the world. The Republic's holdings on Nyriaan were subsequently divided up by the CSA and the Mining Guild, and Nyriaan remained in the hands of the Confederacy until the Second Battle of Nyriaan in 19 BBY.
