Vaila Pecivas was a female Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic who was in office until 60 BBY. Her tenure was noted for a particular lack of style. At one point in her Chancellorship, Pecivas appointed Jideon Praji as Minister of Finance. However, since Praji was also Executive Chair of the Bank of the Core, the appointment was seen to create a conflict of interest, and both holomedia criticism and a Senate inquiry forced him to step down after just days in the post.
