The Linux Kongress is an annual two-day conference of Linux developers from around the world. It has taken place since 1994, when Linux was in the early stages of development, and has almost always occurred in Germany. The Kongress is a meeting place for many different types of developers. Kernel developers like Linus Torvalds and Alan Cox, user space developers like Kalle Dalheimer and Miguel de Icaza, and Open Source advocates like Eric Raymond have all participated.
