Peter Oliver Pettigrew (born 1 February 1960) was a pure-blood wizard and son of Frederick and Olivia Pettigrew. He began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1971 and was sorted into Hufflepuff. He entered Hogwarts a loner, but left the school transformed, and gained some lifelong friends in Emily Powell, Amos Diggory and Hadrian Truman. After graduating from Hogwarts, Peter and Emily married, having two children; Jace Hadrian and Kayla Emily Pettigrew. He became an Auror and would serve in the department with distinction until his retirement in 2010.
