Santhay enlisted in the Confederate Marine Corps during the Guild Wars. As a recruit he deployed to Turaxis II and was aboard the dropship Daddy's Girl when it was shot down by Kel-Morian Hellhounds. Santhay was injured in the crash and was carried out by Jim Raynor and other recruits on a makeshift stretcher. Despite being rescued by Confederate forces, he later died of smoke inhalation. His body was transported to Turaxis Prime.
