Deathstroke is a minor antagonist of the Dark Outlaws series. Originally a soldier in the U.S. Army, Slade Wilson was part of an experimental super-soldier program where he gained enhanced strength, agility and intelligence. He became a mercenary soon after the experiment and rapidly gained a reputation as one of the world's greatest assassins. Following the defeat and incarceration at the hands of Batman, Deathstroke escaped from the maximum security wing of Blackgate Penitentiary and continued working as a gun for hire, hoping that one day he'd get another shot at his nemesis.
