Singing stones were a type of crystals. They could be used to create fountains, emitting soothing sounds resembling both a chime and a stringed instrument as water flowed over them. During the Clone Wars, Grand Master Yoda of the Jedi Order kept a small fountain designed with singing stones in his private quarters.
