In Abbotsford British Columbia the murders were set to take place. The 2 teen aged boys that Heuenemann hired to commit the murders, as well as Heuenemann himself resided in Victoria, on Vancouver island, and they were to take the ferry to Tsawwassen on an evening when Heuenemann's mother would be over on the mainland visiting her mother (Heuenemann's grandmother).
