The Pallad was a type of underslung grenade launcher. It was designed to release 40 mm grenades. After Arkady Bazin and his team of SVR agents found out where Hector Matlow was hiding, they all flew to his location and found him stationed underground beneath a trailer. Galina Ziminova took out the Pallad weapon and fitted a grenade inside before aiming at the trailer from the helicopter she was in. She launched the grenade and destroyed the trailer, and Matlow crawled out of his bunker and tried to escape. Ziminova later took out another weapon and shot and wounded Matlow, before capturing him.
